Center Point-Urbana celebrates Homecoming

Center Point-Urbana has crowned its 2025 Homecoming royalty: Cooper Grimm and Deni Katcher, Sept. 17.

Stormin’ Normin received special recognition during the Homecoming parade after taking home the title of National Best High School Mascot earlier this year.

With the CPU Marching Band playing the Center-Point Urbana’s fight song, the streets of Center Point come alive with school spirit.

Just like many class parade floats have clever slogans, the Junior Class of 2027 is using the theme "We’re going to squash the Mustanges" for their float. CPU played Independence Mustanges Sept. 17.

Following the parade, families head to the CPU Boosters Club Cookout, where they grab hot dogs and hamburgers. This event takes place before Wednesday's coronation and Power Puff Game.
