Local Easter activities

Saturday, March 28 

•  Alburentt Fire Department is hosting its annual Grill Out and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28, at the fire station, 405 Roosevelt St., Alburnett, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 12:45 p.m., and the hunt will start at 1 p.m.

• Troy Mills Christian Church is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for preschoolers through grade 5 on Saturday, March 28, from 1-2 p.m. A 1000 eggs spread out across the church property at 3257 Wieckham St, and beyond.

• Central City FFA Chapter hosts its first annual Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, March 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the Central City Football field. Regulation starts at 12:45 p.m., and five different age divisions range from 0 to 18 years old. 

Sunday, March 29

• Linn County 4-H is hosting its annual Egg-stravaganza from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City. Open to all youth ages 0-14, no need to be a 4-H member. Come meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy crafts, a maze, a petting zoo, and an Easter egg hunt.

Saturday, April 4

• Camp Wapsie Y will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt-Free family event, for toddlers through fifth grade, Saturday, April 4. Check-in 9:30 a.m., Egg Hunt starts at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Bring your Easter Basket. YMCA Camp Wapsie Y is located at 2174 Wapsie Y Rd., Coggon. For questions, call 319-435-2577 or email camp@crmetroymca.org.

• Center Point Lions and Parks and Rec Department will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Fross Park,  at the Soccer Pavilion, Saturday, April 4, starting at 1 p.m.
